Glenn and the staff of Bryan's Hillier Funeral Home -- especially Anita, Micah and Colette -- provided outstanding service as we honored Peter L. 'Pete' Scamardo's life. Hillier was truly a home for our family and friends to grieve his passing, to celebrate his love that lives in our hearts and to pray in word and song. With every step, Glenn and his team were compassionate, gentle, patient, understanding -- from receiving his body until laying it to rest --listening attentively to our desires and ideas while guiding us through the myriad decisions. The integration of photographs and memorabilia transformed a beautiful facility into a space filled with Dad's presence, allowing us to share tears and laughter, to recall and cherish memories. And, the coordination with St. Joseph's Church and Msgr. John McCaffrey -- to whom our family is deeply grateful for the beautiful Mass and consoling words on Pete's life -- and transportation to the cemetery was well done. Hillier exceeded our expectation in every ways, it delivered quality service at a reasonable cost. We celebrated and honored Daddy as a loving, humble and wise man, thanks to the men and women who are Hillier.
Hillier Funeral Home was established in 1918 by Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Hillier. Their son, C. Russell Hillier, carried out its reputation for service for many years. Their accomplishments were highlighted with numerous funeral home "firsts" in the Central Texas community.
