William Thomas "Bill" Virgl, 51, of College Station, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2019. His children will host a casual time of gathering at Hillier Funeral Home of COLLEGE STATION from 4-7 pm with a Memory Sharing Ceremony to begin at 6 pm on Tuesday, September 10, 2019. Bill was born on January 20, 1968, in Chicago to William and Kathleen Virgl. He grew up in the suburbs of Chicago surrounded by family including his brothers David and Michael. He enjoyed playing sports, especially football and baseball, and embraced his Polish and Bohemian heritage. Each summer, Bill cherished the time he spent with his lifelong friends at Lake Nancy in Wisconsin.

Bill excelled in school and received his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Illinois. He served as the Director of Global Systems for Viasat and was passionate about his company's mission to bring information to the world.

Bill's pride and joy in life was his family including his six children, Bill, Nick, Liz, Katie, Bella, and Danny. He was a true family man and focused his efforts on his children.

Bill loved sports, especially Chicago sports: Cubs, Bears, Backhawks, and Notre Dame. He also enjoyed reading, fishing, competing in any way, participating in his kids' activities, and also correcting their grammar.

Bill leaves behind his six children, Bill, Nick, Liz, Katie, Bella, and Danny; ex-wife and best friend, Bianca; father Bill; brother David and David's family: Jennifer, Michael, Thomas and Anna; and in-laws Manual, Rebecca, Todd, and Isabel.

He will be fondly remembered by all, especially for his one-liners:

•   "Let's make it happen, Cap'n."
•   "There is no reason to be unhappy."
•   "Don't let the small things bring ya down."
•   "Ya can't control people's opinions about you."
•   "The sun will always rise tomorrow."
•   "Ya get paid every 2 weeks."
•   "Keep your head down and follow through."
•   "Only you and forest fires can prevent bears."
•   "Let's make like a hockey player & get the puck out of here."
•   "Let's Go!"
