Ronnie L. Weatherford passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021, surrounded by his family and loved ones, in his home.
Ronnie was born on August 10, 1937 to his parents, Harold Weatherford and Edith Dunnford, in Besoco, West Virginia. As a young boy, Ronnie grew up in Princeton, West Virginia. Ronnie enlisted in the military, joining the United States Air Force in 1956, and served for 20 years. Ronnie was proud of his country and was a patriotic man. Ronnie worked hard in life, and held jobs after retiring from the military as an oilman, truck driver, and also served as a police officer.
Ronnie met the love of his life, Deborah, while at work. They fell in love, married, and enjoyed 30 years of a wonderful, loving marriage. They began a family and had five children together. Ronnie was the patriarch of the family and a family man. He worked hard to provide for them and was always there for his children. He was a good husband, father, granddaddy, and a loyal man.
An adventurous person, Ronnie enjoyed camping and travelling. He loved racing, and had a passion for his motorcycle and boating. He enjoyed bowling and the rodeo. His grandchildren were the light of his life, he always supported them in everything they accomplished.
Ronnie was a God-fearing man, and was saved on November 30, 2000. He loved serving God and his church. The most important aspects of Ronnie's life was God, family, and his country.
Ronnie will be remembered by his loving wife, Deborah; children, Rhonda and husband Richard Fore, Brenda and husband Edward Larkin, Cheryl and husband Dale Harris Sr., Misty and husband Bobby Carlisle, and Chrystal and husband Chris Cargill; grandchildren, David and wife Adrianne Fore, Anita Jo and husband Aaron Williams, Tonya and husband Jerry Lee, Jaime and husband Brandon Bailey, Brian and wife Megan Krause, DJ and Daysha Harris, Ashley and Aaron Emanuel, Kayla Lucas, Jared and wife Christina Lucas, Cody and wife Tara Lucas, and Madison Lucas; 28 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Linda Boykin, Brenda Wallace, Jane Wood, Ruth Weatherford, and Harold Weatherford Jr.
Ronnie will be reunited with his parents, Harold Weatherford and Edith Dunford; his late wife, Anita Weatherford; siblings, Gary Dunn, Allen Dunn, Charles Weatherford, Amanda Weatherford Brannon, Ronald Weatherford, James Weatherford, and Rubey Weatherford.
A visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Tuesday, August 31st at Hillier of BRYAN. A Funeral Service will begin at 2pm on Wednesday, September 1st also at Hillier of BRYAN. Graveside services will be held at 2pm on Thursday, September 2nd at Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas.
