Michael Joe Rupley passed away December 25, 2018 at the age of 71.
Michael was born October 1, 1947 in Bluffton, Indiana to Wanda Rose and William Henry Rupley, Jr. Michael proudly served our country in the Army during the Vietnam War. He went on to continue serving the community as a prison guard in both Indiana and Texas until he retired from the State of Texas. Although Michael suffered from Neurofibromatosis for most of his life, he was a very strong person. He enjoyed fishing from a young age, loved sporty cars and was an enthusastic dominoes player. A private person, Michael was also very humorous. He had a great sense of humor, and could always come up with something funny to say no matter the circumstances.
Michael Joe Rupley was proceeded in death by his mother, Wanda Rose King and step-father Roger D. King; and by his father, William Henry Rupley, Jr. Left to remember Michael is his daughter Brandi Rupley Skwier of Auburn, Indiana; hid three grandchildren: Typhanie Skwier of Auburn, Indiana, Dylan Skwier of Garrett, Indiana, and Clay Skwier of Auburn, Indiana; hid three great-grandchildren: Keelyn Hess of Auburn, Indiana, Scarlett Mack of Waterloo, Indiana, and Ranessmai Skwier of Garrett, Indiana; his brother Bill Rupley and sister-in-law Agnes Rupley; his three nephews: Bill, Donald, and Matt; and a niece Rose Marie Rupley.
Private services will be held to honor Michael’s life at a later date.
