Jimmy Boswell, 83, of College Station, Texas, husband of Nancy Loetterle Boswell, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018. Jimmy was born May 26, 1935 in Bryan, Texas, to Ran and Mae Boswell.
Jimmy graduated from Texas A&M University in 1959 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He proudly served as a member of the Corps of Cadets then later with the Army Corps of Engineers. Following his military career, Jimmy founded The Boswell Company, a civil engineering firm. The Boswell Company portfolio included multiple large-scale projects domestically and internationally. Jimmy finished his professional career at Texas A&M University, serving as lead engineer on multiple projects including the construction of Rudder Tower and the renovation of Kyle Field 1995. During his career, Jimmy received numerous certifications including Texas Board of Professional Engineers and American Society of Civil Engineers. Jimmy also served as a part-time pastor within the United Methodist Church organization.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Nancy Loetterle Boswell; children LeeAnn Boswell Kincade, William Ran Boswell, Donna Laren Boswell, Kimberley Nelson Harrison and John Joseph Nelson; grandchildren, Jonathan Ran Sakuma, James Delman Kincaid, Damon Ran Boswell, Tara Leigh Boswell, Chloe Brooke Harrison Brandon Tyler Nelson; and great grandchildren, Aiden Ran Boswell and Mason James Boswell.
A visitation service will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, December 7, at the Hillier Funeral Home of COLLEGE STATION. The funeral service will be held at the Hillier Funeral Home of COLLEGE STATION on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to The Methodist Children’s Home.
