Jesse Lil man Gonzalez

On February 5, 2001, our Lord sent us a wonderful gift named Jesse "Lil man" Gonzalez. After a short 17-year lifetime of smiles, Lil man went home to celebrate with Jesus on August 26, 2018.

Born in Iowa Falls, Iowa, to Jesus and Michelle Gonzalez, Lil man grew up in Progresso, Texas, until he moved to Bryan 10 ½ years ago. He had an awesome childhood, always smiling or laughing. He could light up a room with his contagious laugh. He liked listening to classical music, but more than anything he loved Sponge Bob!

As he grew, Lil man never changed. He still went through life with a beautiful smile on his face. He was always happy. He had just started going to Young Life, and he loved it. School was a wonderful place for Jesse. He had a girlfriend who was one of his classmates, and he loved getting to ride the bus to and from school each day. Jesse’s favorite classes were music and drama. He was supposed to graduate this year from Rudder High School.

Jesse loved his family. He really enjoyed spending time with his dad. Getting to go to Disney World with the family was a trip he always remembered. He loved being around his cousins. His favorite things to do were to take walks outside and to watch Sponge Bob. He would tell his family “outside!” He really loved getting to go to Camp for All and spending time outside during Friday Bar-B-Q’s.

Jesse was such a happy thrill seeker. He was completely loveable, and everyone will remember him by his smiles and laughter.

Jesse is going to be deeply missed by his mom and dad, his grandpa, three uncles, four aunts, eleven cousins, and his beloved dog Sasha.

All are invited for a Celebration Gathering from 5-8 PM on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Hillier Funeral Home of Bryan. We will continue the celebration on Friday, August 31, 2018 with a Celebration of Jesse's Life at 1 PM followed by a Celebration Reception - all at Hillier Funeral Home of Bryan. Please wear either Sponge Bob Yellow or Dallas Cowboy Jerseys to honor Jesse's happy spirit.
