James Earl Maynor

James Earl Maynor passed away September 3, 2018 at the age of 67.

James was born June 29, 1951 in Houston, Texas to James Owen and Doris Marie (Jamison) Maynor. Growing up in Pearland with younger brother Gary Martin, James was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors. He graduated from Pearland High School.

James found love and was married to Kay Lynn Maynor on May 24, 2002. The two shared a deep love for one another, and traveled to London during the summer of 2014. James worked for 40 years as an estimator while helping to raise his five children. He was proud of his sons and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Whenever he had a chance, he spent time hunting. As he often said, he did things for “shits, giggles, and grins.” He was very knowledgeable, and was kindhearted and giving.

James leaves behind his wife Kay Lynn Maynor, his daughter and son-in-law Karlyn and Shawn Cottle, his son and daughter-in-law Jacob and Carol Maynor, his son and daughter-in-law Dan and Roshelle Maynor, his son Jonathan Maynor, and his son James Michael Maynor. He will also be missed by numerous cousins, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
