Susana Clementina Garcia passed away July 19, 2018 at the age of 74.
Clementina was born September 30, 1943 in Mexico. She was married to Gonzalo Garcia and together, they raised their seven children. Known as The Taco Lady, Clementina loved to feed everyone who came to visit her. She was a very loving and caring woman, especially to her beloved children and grandchildren. She was a wise, strong woman who was known for her words of wisdom. She often said, “Dime con quien andas y te dire quien eres” – “Tell me who your friends are and I’ll tell you who you are.” Clementina loved to sew and knit and in her spare time, she loved to play Bingo.
Clementina leaves behind her husband Gonzalo Garcia, her sons, Francisco “Paco”, and Gonzalo Garcia Jr.; her daughters, Patricia Medina, Ofelia Contreras, and Noemi Garcia, twenty-four grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren. She is reunited with her daughters Blanca Reyes and Luz Araceli Garcia.
A visitation will begin at Noon followed by a service at 2 pm on Monday, July 23, 2018 at Hillier Funeral Home of Bryan. Burial will follow at Bryan City Cemetery.
