Charles Edwin Shepperd

Charles E Shepperd, 92, passed away May 27, 2018 in Hospice Brazos Valley after a short illness. Charles was born June 11, 1925 in Big Sandy, Texas to John ray and Nona Mae Shepperd. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was discharged in 1945. He went to work in Bryan, Texas for Southwest States Telephone Company. The company changed to GTE and then Verizon from which he retired in 1992 after 46 years of service.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Margie R. Shepperd of Bryan, sister-in-law Jane Ward and husband Guy (Reggie) Ward of Houston, Texas.

He was proceeded in death by one son, Charles Ray Shepperd, four brothers, and one sister.

A visitation will be held from Noon-2 PM with a service to begin at 2 PM on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Hillier Funeral Home of Bryan. Interment and Final Military Honors will follow at Bryan City Cemetery.
