Willie Earl Williams

Willie Earl Williams, 64, lifetime resident of Bryan, Texas, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024 in the comfort of his home. Family and friends are invited to a visitation at 10:30am Saturday, March 2, 2024, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Bryan. A Celebration of Life will begin immediately after the visitation at 11am, with interment to follow at Bryan City Cemetery.

Born on August 25, 1959, to Andrew and Vercy Williams. He graduated from Bryan High School in 1978. In his adult life he always enjoyed sports of any kind, Church’s Chicken, providing for his family and singing “The Party Is Over” with his children/grandchildren. He also showed his competitive spirit with playing basketball, dominoes, and sports trivia.

Willie enjoyed a 30-year career with Bryan Texas Utilities where he retired in 2013. During this career that allowed him to leave a legacy for his children, he ensured that he did not miss a musical program or sporting event throughout their education.

Willie's legacy is intertwined with the love he shared with Alfreda. Despite the challenges of life, their bond remained strong after divorce, a testament to the enduring power of connection. His memory will live on in the hearts of his children: Jerry, Tocarro, Veronica, and Nathan; and his grandchildren, Jamairrus, Andrew and Ramses. Each one carries a piece of his spirit forward, a reminder of the love that defined their family.

The Williams family experienced the painful loss of Dexner Earl Williams, a beloved son who preceded Willie in death. The reunion in the afterlife must bring comfort, knowing they are together once more.

In addition to his son, Willie was welcomed into eternity by his parents, Andrew and Vercy Williams; and siblings Andrew Junior, Nathaniel, Ruby, Royal, Christine, and Albert. Their collective presence surely creates a heavenly reunion filled with love and joy.

Willie leaves behind a legacy of love and familial bonds that will endure through the generations. He is survived by his siblings Alfred, Linda, Lawrence, Charles, Carolyn, James, and a host of extended family who mourn his passing while cherishing the memories of a man who enriched their lives in countless ways.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the American Kidney Fund in Willie Earl's honor.
