William “Butch” Morrison Walker, of College Station, was born September 24, 1945 and passed away September 23, 2023, just one day shy of his 78th birthday.
Butch grew up in Austin, Texas and often talked about going to school barefoot. He met his wife, Jeanne, while in high school; she was dating his friend, but Butch didn’t feel like she was treated the way she deserved to be. He promised her love and life like a queen, and the greatest day of his life was their marriage. The next greatest days were the births of his daughter Darlene, grandson Max, and great grandchildren. His family and providing for them were his passion! He would give the shirt off his back for a stranger, but he went back to work after retiring to help raise his grandson and to continue donating to various charities.
Butch worked as an independent distributor of tortilla chips and never missed a day of work. When asked how he was doing, he would always reply, “Oh, another day in paradise.” He cherished every gathering that involved family and friends and riding his motorcycle. He was a HOG member of the Harley Davidson group and belonged to the Fallen Riders Foundation of Brazos Valley.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Jeanne; his daughter, Darlene Walker; and his furry buddy, Blue the Dog.
Butch is survived by his grandchildren, Max Brooks and wife Lauren; and his great grandchildren, Caelin Brooks and Kileigh, and Sir Edward Brooks.
