William “Billy” Batten
1946 ~ 2006

William “Billy” Batten, age 60 of Bryan passed away Saturday, December 23, 2006 at his residence.  Mr. Batten was born July 28, 1946 in Brazos County, to Henry Batten, Sr. and Lucille Haveron Batten.

He served his country in the United States Navy and was of the Protestant faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Mary Ann Batten of Bryan; two sons Howard Wayne Batten of Bryan and William Jack Batten of West Texas; three brothers Henry Batten, Jr. and wife Lucille of Bryan, R. Wayne Batten of Longview, Texas and James A. Batten and wife Linda of Seguin, Texas; and a sister Martha Batten Bass of Channelview, Texas.

Services will be held at 10am Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at Hillier Funeral Home with Deacon Bill Scott officiating.  Interment will follow at Restever  Memorial Park.  Visitation will be held from 5-7pm Tuesday and from 9-10am Wednesday at the funeral home.
