W.D. “Dan” Bailey, Jr. M.D., 72, of Bryan, passed away on March 23, 2007 at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. Dr. Bailey was born October 2, 1934 to Walton Daniel Bailey, Sr. and Dorothy Emma Mulhollan in Dallas, Texas. He served briefly in the AirForce and after 45 years as a dedicated physician in private and group practice, retired from A.P. Beutel Health Center at Texas A&M.A Memorial Service will be held at 11a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2007 at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan. Survivors include his partner in life for 17 years, Dr. Doris M. Cowley of Bryan; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Kevin McLeod Bailey of Corsicana, Tx, Colin Raines Bailey, M.D. and his wife June Adams Bailey of Hillsboro, Tx, Kenneth Keough Bailey and his wife Erin Nolan Bailey of Bryan; Daughter, Alicia Lynn Hoekstra of Dallas, Tx; former spouse, Judith Raines Bailey; Sister, Ellen Bailey Cullum McRight of Pilot Point, Tx;Grandchildren, Jonathan, Chris, Elizabeth, Emily, Daniel, Matthew, William, Kirsten, and Kaitlyn; and Doris’ daughters, Veronica Cowley Keating and her husband Mark Keating, Leonora Cowley Meisenbach and her husband Corey Meisenbach and children Cameron and Jackson, and Doris Mary Cowley and Anthony Germain andchildren Ainsley and Jonathon, Abby and Alexander.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: The Solution Beacon Foundation, American Heart Association, or the American Stroke Association
