Wayne Edward Beesaw

Wayne Beesaw passed away on August 13, 2022, in Bryan, Texas.  Wayne Beesaw was born on May 6, 1935, in Palo Alto County, Iowa, to Clifford and Malitta Beesaw.  They moved to Minnesota when Wayne was six years old.  Wayne graduated from Ogilvie HIgh School in 1953.  He married Karen Ellens in 1955 at which time he entered the Air Force.  When he got out of the Air Force, he began farming with his father.  He also drove a school bus for the Ogilvie School District for thirty-five years and worked for his brother-in-law in the summer.  Their son, Kevin, was born in 1960.

In 1997, Wayne and Karen started wintering in Yuma, Arizona, where they had made friends when stationed there in the service.  In 2009 they moved to Bryan, Texas, to be close to their son’s family and enjoy their two young granddaughters.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, father and mother-in-law; sister, Ardie; sister and brother-in-law, Waneta and Wyatt Hansen; and brother-in-law, David Ellens. 

He is survived by his wife, Karen; son, Kevin (Kristen); granddaughters, Evelyn and Claire Beesaw; brothers-in-law, Don (Carol) Ellens, Doug (Cris) Ellens; sisters-in-law, Joan Ellens, Mary (Milan) DeWitt, Kathie (Terry) Coon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

No services will be held per Wayne’s request.
