Theresa Jane Bohne

On Friday, April 7, 2023 Theresa Jane Bohne, loving wife and mother of three children, passed away at age 82. Theresa was born on November 12, 1940 in Sweet Home, TX to Ernest and Edith (Mudd) Donnelly. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in Yoakum, TX in 1958 and married Charles Lee Bohne of Cuero, TX on November 17, 1961. They settled in Bay City, TX and raised three sons, Derek, Darren, and Chad. Theresa worked for many years at The Bakery in Bay City before becoming a clerk at the local DPS drivers license office, where she worked until her retirement in 2000.

Following retirement, Theresa and Charles moved to College Station, TX in 2004 and became active members in their community and at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Theresa had a passion for jigsaw puzzles and cross-stitching and enjoyed watching old sitcoms with a bowl of popcorn and a soda. She loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids and was always willing to join them in their fun and games. She will be remembered as a woman of great faith and for her servant’s heart as she was always ready and willing to put the needs of others above her own. As she joined her new family in Heaven, she was surely congratulated for a life well lived.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Edith; brother, Lavern; and sisters Mary Alice Donnelly, Jo Ann Brehm, Sister M. Lucilla Donnelly, Margie Schindler, and Etta Nugent.

She is survived by her husband, Charles; son, Derek Bohne and wife Laura of Keller, TX; son Darren Bohne of Henderson, TX; son Chad Bohne and wife Becky of College Station, TX; grandchildren, Collin Bohne and wife Braunwyn, Travis Bohne and wife Lisa, Kevin Bohne, Kyle Bohne and wife Brittany, Reagan Bohne, and Trey Bohne; and great-grandchildren, Parker Bohne, Ruth Bohne, Jesse Bohne, Bryce Bohne, and Elias Bohne.  She is also survived by sisters Mertes Culak and Erna Braden.
