Susan Gail Hirsch

Susan Gail Hirsch, a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away on May 30th, 2023 at the age of 67. She leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and cherished memories.

Susan was born in Tomball, Texas and grew up as the eldest of four children in a close-knit family. After graduating from Klein High School, Susan started a family of her own. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother to her two children, Heather Frazier of Navasota, Texas and Kenneth Merenda II of Houston, Texas. She poured her heart and soul into their upbringing, actively participating in their education and extracurricular activities. The love and support she showed for her children knew no bounds as she cheered them on in cheerleading, gymnastics, band performances, and Boy Scout activities.

As her children grew older, Susan returned to her career. She embraced various professional roles, including teaching, executive assistance, and retail sales, demonstrating her versatility and dedication in every endeavor. Her work ethic and caring nature earned her the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends.

Later in life, Susan became a grandmother and her nurturing spirit continued to shine brightly. She took immense delight in her grandchildren, lovingly showering them with affection and creating cherished memories together. Her presence and influence in their lives will forever be treasured.

Retirement granted Susan the freedom to focus on what mattered most to her: family. She cherished the laughter and shared stories that strengthened family bonds, and looked forward to organizing gatherings, celebrations, and holiday events.

Susan will be remembered as a woman of unwavering love, strength, and devotion. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, and all those who were fortunate to have known her. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in our hearts.

Susan is preceded in death by her nephew, Wayne Norwood; her brother, George Hirsch; her mother, Betty Hirsch; and father, TC Hirsch. She is survived by her daughter Heather Frazier and husband Michael; her son, Kenneth Merenda and partner Oscar Morales; her grandchildren, Devin, Gavin, Lauren and Taylor Rodriguez; her siblings, Kathy Norwood and Sheryl Lopez; and numerous other cherished relatives and friends.
