Shirley Ann Lewis

October 29, 1931 — January 29, 2024

Bryan

Shirley Ann Morehead Lewis, born October 29, 1931 in Huntington, West Virginia, daughter of the late James and Gwendolyn Morehead, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2024. She was a wonderful Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Friend. Her strong sense of fairness, integrity, loyalty, and selflessness showed in everything she did, from her home life and raising her children, to her years working for the Texas Agricultural Extension Service. She instilled strong values in her children and grandchildren and protected and taught her family with intensity, generosity, and love. It was the small things in life that made her the happiest and she has left a profound impression on everyone that knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Henry T. “Bud” Lewis, Jr. and her sweet grandson Matthew Ryan Lewis. She leaves behind daughter Terri Jenkins (Jerry), daughter Ginger Haskins (Michael), and son Tom Lewis (Nancy); grandchildren Tom, Chuck, Amanda, and Rachel; great-grandchildren Emma, Luke, Lilla, Josh, Austin, and Stephanie; and, several much loved nieces, nephews, and friends. We loved her dearly and will miss her always. She was our sunshine.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Lifepoint Christian Church, 1121 E. Villa Maria, Bryan, TX 77802, where she was a long time and active member.
