College Station

Sherman Lee Click, 78, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2024, at his home in College Station, Texas. He was born on February 13, 1946, in Raymondville, Texas to Lolan and Zoma Click.

Sherman graduated from San Perlita High School in 1964, served in the United States Navy from 1966 to 1969 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at Texas A&M University in 1972.

His childhood in the Rio Grande Valley instilled a passion for the water and outdoors, and Sherman remained an avid fisherman and hunter throughout his life.

He was also passionate about children as evidenced by his first career as an industrial arts teacher at Bryan High School and his roles throughout the years as coach, church youth group leader and for the past several years as a school bus driver for College Station Independent School District. Sherman loved to tell stories about the children that he had interacted with in various roles and the success that they had gone on to achieve.

He is survived by his wife Julie; his sons, Chris Click of Dallas, TX, and Jeff Click of Lubbock, TX; his sister Peggy Summers of Victoria, TX; and four grandchildren who will miss their Grandpa greatly.

A celebration of Sherman’s life will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Millican United Methodist Church located at 22029 Kathy Fleming Rd, Millican, TX 77866.
