Sammie Ray Novosad, 60, of Arlington, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2008. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 13, at Hillier Funeral Home Chapel in Bryan with interment following at Wheelock Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 12, at the funeral home.
Sammie was born June 20, 1947, to Joe Jr. and Mary Novosad. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School and Texas A&M University. He served two years in the U.S. Army. Sammie lived in Arlington, Texas, and was an employee of Dairy Farmers of America. He was a lifelong member of the Zion Church of Kurten.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Novosad Jr., and brother, Joe Daniel Novosad.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Novosad of Bryan; brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Mary Ann Novosad of Bellville; sister and brother-in-law, Bill and Claudia Pine of Bryan; and many nieces, nephews, great-nephews and friends.
