Sammie Fling Sr., 89,
passed away last Saturday morning at home in Bryan, Texas.
He was born in Jacksonville,
Texas.
He was a retired
watch maker who worked for Caldwell Jewelry
Store in downtown Bryan
from 1943 to 1984. He worked with his
son at fling Jewelers for seven years.
Sammie loved to fish
and hunt especially at Toledo
Bend Lake
with family and friends.
He was preceded in
death by his wife, Mattie Lou Fling, and his son, Charles Lewis Fling.
He is survived by his
wife, Velma Harrell Fling, two sons and daughters-in-laws, Sam Jr. and Jean
Fling and Jerry and Linda Fling, and seven grandchildren and twelve great
grandchildren.
