Rocky Wann

August 28, 1960 — February 24, 2023

College Station

Rocky Wann, 62, of College Station,Texas was taken Home to be with our Lord on Friday.

Rocky grew up in San Antonio, Texas. While dancing at The Cowboy, he met the love of his life, Sheila, and they married in 1983. The three times God blessed him with children were some of the greatest days of his life. He was known for saying, “We don’t quit, no matter what.”  He believed that no problem was as big as it seems and that there is always a solution to every problem, adding “Don’t run from something that is not chasing you.”

Rocky was a loving, honest, and God-fearing man who was devoted to his family. His wife, kids, and grandkids were everything. With a huge heart, he was a friend to all and would give the shirt off his back to anyone. The owner of Crest Roofing, he was a good business man with true ethics and had a reputation for being reliable and fair – a great legacy he left for his children and generations to come.

He was a huge supporter of school sports, especially football and wrestling at both high schools in College Station, and he coached his kids' and grandkid’s teams. He loved watching Aggie and Cowboys football games and also enjoyed basketball, golf, softball, karate, wrestling, and bowling and loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles. Rocky was very competitive in everything he did and even though he was very modest, he was number 1 in everything he did! He loved listening to music, dancing, and riding roller coasters with his kids at theme parks and was passionate about turkey and deer hunting.

Rocky was a strong Christian man and had a solid relationship with Jesus as his Savior. The other greatest day of his life was when he was saved and baptized. He believed in the power of prayer and is with Jesus now!

He is reunited in Heaven with his mom and dad; his sister, Patty; and his brother, Allen.

Rocky is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sheila Wann; children, Tricia Admire and Eli Leland, Brant and Ashley Wann, and Megan and Dan Snyder; grandchildren, Kasha Wann, Kyah Wann, Ava Wann, Taylor Admire, Cody Snyder, Hayley Snyder, Liam Wann, Colin Snyder, Chloe Snyder, and Jace Snyder; and his siblings, Dede Wann, Tony Wann, Robert Wann, and Kathy Wann.

To our beloved Rocky,

It’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.” Abraham Lincoln.

Some people bring such a great light to the world that even after they have gone, the light remains.

You’ve received your greatest reward – Heaven! And the only scars you have now are on the Hands holding you. We love you so much and will miss you terribly until we see you again soon.

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away.” Revelation 21:4

Amen!
