Robert Theodore
Ames Jr., loving husband, father and grandfather, 73, passed away peacefully
after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Bob came into
this world on February 12, 1935, in San
Diego, to Robert Ames and Elizabeth Case. He attended Tenefly High School
in New Jersey and Texas A&M
University, graduating
with a master’s degree in business. He was a marketing professor at Texas A&M
University and he was an
Aggie through and through.
Bob was a
decorated colonel in the U.S. Air Force and was very proud of his country and
served to protect us from harm every day. He loved life and his family and
friends.
He was a
wonderful husband, father and grandfather and he will be missed by so many who
loved and looked up to him. We are blessed that his battle with Alzheimer’s has
ended and his is at peace once again.
Survivors include
his wife of 31 years, Carol Ames, whose amazing courage has been breathtaking;
beloved son and daughters, Robert Ames III, Deborah Banister, Dianne Ames,
Denise Lindeman and Alyssa McDonald; and the light of his life, his
grandchildren, Holly, Philip and Chad Doriocourt, Ryan Banister, Ryan and
Marisa Lindeman, Logan and Cole Summers and Brooklyn McDonald.
Bob courageously
fought Alzheimer’s disease for over 12 years. Please help us continue his fight
