Pattie J. Temple, a cherished soul who touched the lives of many with her unwavering love and generosity, has passed away on April 15, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and compassion that will forever be remembered.
Pattie's journey through life was as diverse as it was remarkable. From her early days graduating from North Little Rock High School to her various career pursuits that included being a bank teller, a school bus driver, and running businesses like Metco Sales and Long Distance Savers alongside Mike, she demonstrated resilience and an exceptional work ethic.
Her vibrant personality was a beacon of light to all who knew her. Described as loving, giving, and caring, with a hint of feistiness that proved dynamite truly comes in small packages, she left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered. Her famous saying - "If you starve them long enough, they’ll eat anything" - always accompanied by her delicious cooking, will be fondly remembered by her loved ones.
Pattie's dedication to helping others extended beyond her professional life and she was actively involved with Therapet in Tyler, Texas. She found solace in her love for animals, particularly dogs. Her bond with Duke, the therapy dog she trained through Therapet, showcased her nurturing spirit as they brought comfort to those in need across nursing homes and children's homes.
Among those who welcomed Pattie into eternal peace are her parents, Patsy Quinn James and Glendon Virgil James; and following the death of her father, stepfather John Tiftickjian.
In the hearts of those she leaves behind but with whom she forever remains are her surviving family members, children Jim Temple (Janie) and Adam Temple (Ana Jafari); siblings, Pamela Reilly (Robin) and William (Bill) James; grandchildren Heith Temple, Naomi Temple, Reese Temple; as well as her beloved four-legged friend, Duke and a long lineage of Brittany spaniels she held dear.
Pattie's boundless love and selflessness have left an everlasting imprint on all those fortunate enough to have known her. While we mourn the loss of a remarkable individual, we also celebrate a life that exemplified compassion and warmth. May her spirit soar free knowing that she was truly loved by all whose lives she graced.
