Ortencia Duron was born October 6, 1944 and passed away July 5, 2023
Gathering with the family was what Ortencia looked forward to as her family always came first. She made the rice for every gathering and she loved providing for her kids and grandkids; she would do anything for them!
A hardworker but a bit ornery, she had a strong arm, especially when throwing the chancla! She enjoyed reading Danielle Steel and Harlequin romance novels and will be remembered for saying, “Want me to give you something to cry about?”
She has been reunited with her husband, Noel Duron; daughter, Carolina Duron; grandson, Michael Paldo; parents, Gonzalo and Lupe Rueda; sister, Susie Hernandez; and brother Jessie Rueda.
Ortencia is survived by her children, Larry R. and Mona Duron, Connie and Lionel Talamantes, Ray Duron, Laura Duron and Charles Deaton, Robert Duron, and Kevin and Melanie Duron; siblings, Rudy and Alice Rueda, Annie and Pete Garcia, Mary Marquez, and Joe and Lori Rueda; her grandchildren; and her numerous great-grandchildren.
