M.F. “Tex” Wright 94, of Bryan, died at home on Saturday, May 26, 2007. Born November 2, 1912 in Farmersville, Tx to Dr. James B. and Minerva Glass Wright.  He was a member and a class agent for the Texas A&M Class of 1933 as well as a 1938 graduate of the Texas DPS Highway Patrol Academy.  As a U.S. Coast Guard Officer he attended the Coast Guard Academy in New London, Conn.  He met his wife Marjorie L. Davis (San Jacinto High School 1940) while stationed at the Port of Houston.  After the war, he worked for Weatherford Oil and Tool then founded Oil Country Equipment Company, specializing in well completion equipment which he invented and patented. Tex also was a banker, a real estate broker and a docent at the George Bush Presidential Library with 1589 hours.

He was a member of POPS in Houston, API, Texas A&M Century Club, A&M Former students, 12th Man Foundation, Highland Lakes Tourist Association, Masonic Lodge 32 degree, a Shirner, the Lions Club.

He is survived by his wife and best friend of 64 years, Marjorie Davis Wright of Bryan, son; Fred James Wright of CA, and daughter Cecelia Diane Wright of Bryan.  Also are sisters-in-law Florence Wright, Esther Wright and Josephine Davis.  Also son-in-law; Lee Garcia of Austin.  Five Grandchildren; Kelley Wright, Nathan Wright, Marjorie L. Wright II, Charmane Stephens and Marissa Wright.  Six Great-Grandchildren;  Stuart, Zachary, Katie and Emilie Ondrasek and Hannah and Darian Stephens.  Also Grandson-in-law, Lamar G. Ondrasek.

Memorial Services are scheduled for Friday, June 1, 2007, at the First Presbyterian Church in Bryan, Tx.  Memorials can be made to Hospice Brazos Valley, Texas A&M Former Students Association or the George Bush Presidential Library Foundation
