Mary Lula Mabry, 71, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2008, at the College Station Medical Center.
Mary was born on July 25, 1936 in Ferris, Texas. She attended Teague High School and graduated in 1954. She went on to further her education at Sam Houston State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She later attended Texas A&M University and received her master’s degree in elementary education.
She was a dedicated and loving teacher for Bryan ISD for more than 25 years. Mary was a beloved only child, loving mother, dedicated schoolteacher and a true friend. She will be missed greatly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Leta Brown of Teague, Texas.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Cindy Mabry, Mark and Dana Mabry, all of Bryan, and Kelly Mabry of Austin; daughter, Brenda Smith of Bryan; grandchildren, Cassie Cash of Bryan, Kristen Mabry of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., Robby Mabry, Taylor and William Smith, Mark Mabry Jr. and Alyssa Mabry, all of Bryan; and great-grandchildren, Mary Kaitlin Cash and Abby Lynn Cash, both of Bryan.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Sherwood Nursing Home and the College Station Medical Center physicians and nurses for the love and care of Mary.
