Martha Mize

Trula Mize, 92, of Bryan went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 27, 2008.  Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 30, at Hillier Funeral Home. Services are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, at Reliance Baptist Church with interment following at Zion Cemetery in Iola.

Mrs. Mize, a longtime Bryan resident and member of Reliance Baptist Church, was born in Iola Texas. She was a retired employee of the Bryan School District.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nellie and Leonidis Gilpin; husband, Donald L. Mize; two brothers, Mack and Gil Gilpin; sister, Hellon Hammond; and son-in-law, V.L. Havard.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Donnie and Michael Hereford, Doris Havard, Edward and Mary Mize and Woodrow and Leslie Mize; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; ten step-great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; brother, Woodrow Gilpin; sister-in-law, Lucille Gilpin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
