Lucile M. Vanderpoorten went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 24, 2008. She was born in Manchester, Iowa, on April 23, 1918, to Ludwig and Anna Jacobsen.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Gerald Edison Vanderpoorten.
Survivors include her two daughters and son-in-law, Mary Beth Vanderpoorten and Ann V. and Ronald L. Beard.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name may be made to First Baptist Church of Bryan Building Fund, Bethel Lutheran Church Building Fund or Brazos Valley Hospice.
