Louis Cardenas Savala, Jr.

December 10, 1952 — April 8, 2024

Louis Cardenas Savala Jr passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, April 8, 2024 at the age of 71.

He was born on December 10,1952 in Bryan, Texas to Louis P. Savala Sr and Herminia Cardenas Savala. Louis graduated from Travis B. Bryan High School in 1972. He met the love of his life, Geneva Galindo and married her on January 28, 1974. They had 2 children; Benz and Christina.

Louis was a very family oriented person. He loved his family dearly but he had an extra special love for his grandchildren and his great-grandchild. He was a very generous person, got along with everyone, accepted all, and never passed judgment on anyone. He was never big on material things and never complained about anything. He loved the country life as well as playing poker and dominos, fishing, and barbecuing. Louis was a big fan of the Texas A&M Aggies and the Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed tejano and country music. Louis was a very knowledgeable and strong minded man. His love and loyalty for his wife, Geneva was so special that he carried her wedding band in his pocket everyday since her passing, 23 years ago. He was one of a kind and like no other person. He will forever be our Hero.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Galindo Savala; his parents, Louis Sr and Herminia Savala; his sister, Delphina S. Perez; his brother, Antonio C. Savala; his grandsons, Benz S. Galindo Jr (BJ) and Bobby Guzman.

Louis is survived by his son, Benz Galindo of Selma, TX; daughter, Christina and Tony Ontiveros of Bryan, TX; his siblings, Maria Lupe and Richard Gonzales of College Station, TX; Ernestine Savala Diaz of Bryan, TX; Jesse and Yolanda Savala of Bryan, TX; Rick Savala of Snook, TX; Daniel and Linda Savala of Austin, TX; Rosalinda DeLeon of Bryan, TX; his grandchildren, Reuben Ramirez Jr, Roxanne Ramirez, Paula Orosco, Katie Lynn Galindo, Brandi Geneve Galindo, great-grandson, Asher Reginald Ballard Galindo and "adopted grand-daughter and grandson”, Isabel Aguirre Smith, Adrian Jeffrey Aguirre.
