Lois A. Mann, 87, of Bryan, went home to the arms of Jesus on December 30th, 2007 at Crestview Nursing Home.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Hillier Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday at College Station Cemetery on Texas Ave in College Station.
Lois worked in a defense plant while her husband was fighting in WWII. She was the most incredible wife and mother. In her later years, after world travel, Lois and Raleigh owned and operated two national card and gift shops in Brenham, Texas. She was the loveliest wife, mother, world’s greatest cook, and most meticulous homemaker. Mrs. Mann always strived to do the right thing. She was a very gifted artist using water colors and oils. In her latest years, her loving husband went way beyond expectations and saw to her every minute detail.
Mrs. Mann was born in Wichita Falls, Texas to Edgar Stone and Fanny Elizabeth (Broadaway) Stone. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, eleven brothers and sisters.
Survivors: Loving husband of 71 years: Raleigh M. Mann of Bryan; children: Raleigh Paul Mann and wife Tammi of Copperhill, TN, Judy Estrada and husband Rene of Bryan; eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren; ten great-great- grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family members. The family wishes to thank the wonderful caregivers at CrestviewNursingCenter for the loving care Mrs. Mann received.
