Mr. Kenneth DeWayne Melson, 76, of Bryan, passed away August 1, 2022. 

Kenny was born on January 13, 1946, in Crockett, to parents, Donice Maxine and Kenneth William Melson.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy. 

Kenny worked as a computer consultant and professional photographer, taking pictures of many Bryan and College Station families.  He enjoyed cooking and traveling.  He was a talented artist, drawing pictures of people, objects, and the outdoors. 

Kenny is preceded in death by his parents, Donice M. and Kenneth W. Melson.

Kenny leaves behind his sister, Donna Kay Marshall of Cypress; brother, Michael William Melson of Bryan; daughter, Melanie and husband Alyn Aluotto; grandchildren, Tristan Chambers, Bailey Leshe, and Kaitlyn Leshe, all of Cypress; nieces and nephew, Michelle Wooten, Heather Johnson, Shelly Gilman, Michael Melson Jr. and Sabrina Oats; and numerous grandnieces and nephews.  He had nicknames for many of them, calling three of the grandnephews “the three B’s” since their names start with B.

A family memorial will be held at a later date at Davis Cemetery in Grapeland, Texas.

The family would like to acknowledge Legacy Nursing and Rehabilitation of Bryan and Hospice Brazos Valley of Bryan for their extraordinary care.
