On August 20, 2022, Kathleen Lucinda (Koop) Cash went to be with her Creator. Surrounded by her family, she passed very peacefully at her home in Bryan, Texas.  Her long fight with Parkinsons and kidney disease was finally over. Even throughout all her health problems, Kathy put her trust in the Lord and read Scripture very often.

Kathy was born to William and Rose Koop in Victoria, Texas on December 28, 1951. She was baptized, confirmed, and active in her church. After a short courtship with certain love, she married Claude Cash on February 28, 1975. It was the beginning of a love story lasting over 47 years.

After graduation from Edna High School, Kathy attended Victoria Business College. She worked in varying administrative positions. Kathy took great pride in being a “Navy Wife”; considered by the Navy and many as “The Toughest Job In The Navy!” She served over 20 glorious years alongside her Navy Chief.

Kathy loved playing the piano and being with her cats as well as traveling with Claude in their many adventures throughout the country. During her time on God’s Earth, it did not matter to Kathy where she was or who she was; inasmuch as who she was with and where - with Claude. She was forever a supportive and loving wife.

Kathy was never a “material girl”. She was always everyone’s sweetheart. She was not only a  most loving, loyal and caring wife, but also daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend. She was a daughter of Jesus then, now, and forever.

Kathy is survived by brothers, Danny Koop and wife Carolyn of Victoria, Texas, Mitchell Koop and wife Susie of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Pam and Charles Beyer of Victoria, Texas, T.C. and Cindy Cash of Cedar Park, Texas, Claudia and Charlie Birch, and Renee and Kenneth Goetz of Victoria, Texas. She is also survived by many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and nieces.

The family expresses deepest thanks to the many in the Bryan/College Station medical community and its first responders that helped Kathy and family through her most trying times.
