Judith Lee Hays

Judith Lee Hays was born January 11, 1948 and grew up in Ponca City, Oklahoma.  She passed away July 23, 2023 at the age of 75.

She met her husband, Ronald, in the college cafeteria and the happiest day of her life was her wedding on May 21, 1966. After earning her master’s degree in Spanish, she taught at a high school. She loved teaching youth and always went above and beyond to help those she cared for, family or friend. Every student loved her and kept in close touch or would stop by even after graduating just to say hello. Judith was kind and caring and believed in kindness above all; she taught that nothing should every hold a person back because no matter what, someone would always have your back.

She loved family reunions and trips to Galveston Beach, languages, cats, and crocheting. She had a closet full of yarn!

She was preceded in death by her mother and a host of furry animal friends.

Judith is survived by her husband, Ronald J. Hays; children, Julie Hays and Jacque Hawkinson; grandchildren, Myriah Hays, Dallas Gegogeine, and Destiny Calkin; siblings, Jackie Palmar, Owen Palmer, and John Palmer; and furry friends, Rhys Rascal, and Little Bit.
