Jose and Maria Trinidad Avendaño gave birth to Jose Avendaño Jr "Pepe" on December 2nd, 1944 in Rio Bravo, México.
He met Maria Manuela Genera 57 years ago and they have been married for 51 1/2 years. They migrated to Bryan, Tx and started a family of 6 children, Belinda, Velia, Margarita, Delia, Jose Jr, and Lorena. Soon after his family grew to 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Jose worked for the City of Bryan for almost 20 years. His hobbies included maintaining his veggie and fruit garden. His specialty was his hot pepper and his famous chile pequin garden from which he made his famous HOT sauce!
He leaves behind 6 siblings Dolores Ocon, San Juanita Muñiz, Tomasa Barrera, Pedro Adendaño, Mariana Colunga, and Margarita Hernandez.
He will be rejoined with his mother and father as well as his brothers and sisters Pedro Avendaño, Santiago Avendaño, Gloria Garcia, and Barbarita Martinez.
Although his time on Earth is over, His spirit lives on through his family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 5-8 pm, with a Rosary to begin at 6:30 pm, on Tuesday, February 1st, at Hillier of BRYAN. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 am, on Wednesday, February 2nd, at Santa Teresa Catholic Church. Graveside services will follow at Bryan City Cemetery.
