Jose Acevedo, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on May 1, 2024.
Born February 14, 1984, Jose graduated from Bryan High School in 2002 before courageously enlisting in the U.S. Navy. His military career fit perfectly with his love of the ocean. He was stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and loved every minute of it.
Jose’s life was full of adventure, from family vacations at the beach to skydiving in Hawaii. He cherished time with family and friends and found joy in hobbies like cooking, grilling, Anime, gaming, music, and spending time outdoors.
Jose leaves a legacy of responsibility, supportiveness, thoughtfulness, and organization in his family, but most of all was the importance of time management. He believed that if you are on time, you are late!
Jose was selfless and his last act as he left this world was to save lives through the gift of organ donation. May someone else continue to live a life of love and laughter because of his gift.
Jose is survived by his mother, Maricela Aguaristi; father, Paulo Acevedo; siblings, Dave Andrews, Sylvie Andrews, Luis Andrews, Paul Acevedo, Acacia Acevedo, Juan Marcos Acevedo, Elias Acevedo, and Sarah Acevedo; and numerous nieces and nephews. His presence will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
