Johnny A. Williams
1941 ~ 2007
Johnny A. Williams, native of Bryan, died March 24, 2007. He was born to Rudolph and Thadie Mae Williams on April 8, 1941. He was a graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School, class of 1959 and attended Sam Houston State University.
Johnny was the grandson of the late J.A. and Nettie “Nanny” Williams, long time residents and businessman of Bryan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and only brother, Lonnie Williams.
Survivors include his nephew, John R. Williams and wife Susanne; one uncle, Carl Williams and wife Wanda of Houston and aunts, Helen Burwell of Houston and Verna Beth Williams of Bryan; many cousins and a host of dear friends who have stood by him through the past three months.
Special thanks to Judge Tom McDonald and wife Caroline, Channa Borman and husband Tom Eckert, Roland Searcy and wife Jeannie and A.C. “Nappy” Cole, the staff of St. Joseph Rehabilitation Center and the caregivers of Sherwood Nursing Home for their care during Johnny’s stay.
A Memorial Service honoring his life will be held at 10:30am Thursday, March 29, at Hillier Funeral Home with Dr. Robert Leslie officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
