John Rollwitz

John Lewis Rollwitz, age 65, passed away at CHI St. Joseph Health in College Station from
medical complications. He was at peace with his three children and partner lovingly
surrounding him. John is preceded in death by his parents, William Lloyd Rollwitz and Ann
Caldwell Rollwitz.

John was an avid world traveller, having journeyed across far corners of the world, though his
heart always belonged to the Texas he loved. He also had a lifelong passion for the ocean,
whether that was admiring it from the shore or trekking across it in his SeaRay. Born and
raised in San Antonio, he was truly a proud Texan. For those that knew John, his skills on the
barbecue showcased just that.

An endless conversationalist, John, like his father, never knew a stranger. He also inherited his
father's intellect, as he pursued doctoral studies in Linguistics and Near Eastern Studies at the
University of Toronto, before embarking on a successful career in IT at major global
corporations.

John was passionate about all fine things in life, from travel to art and music. He was especially
gifted in piano, where his fingers felt at home dancing across the keys, while composing original
scores. His love for painting and watercolor lives on through his children, all of whom have
unique artistic passions.

He inspired in his family the value of generosity, kindness and having a brilliant sense of humor.
John's laughter and jokes will be remembered by his three children, Andrew John Rollwitz,
Geoffrey David Rollwitz and Emily Elizabeth Rollwitz, and his partner, Tiffany Renea White.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
