John Michael Cruz

John Michael Cruz, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on August 14, 2023 in his hometown of Bryan, TX. John was born on October 17, 1974 and his vibrant spirit touched the lives of many.

John was known for his loving and selfless nature, always putting others before himself. His infectious smile brightened even the darkest days and he had a knack for making people feel loved and cherished. John had various hobbies and interests. He loved going to Tejano concerts and supporting Bryan High School athletics attending football and basketball games, proudly cheering on his alma mater. Above all, spending quality time with the Reyes crew brought him unparalleled joy. Whether they were sharing meals or simply enjoying each other's company, these gatherings filled John's heart with love and laughter. His favorite dessert was carrot cake, and any homemade food always held a special place in his heart and stomach.

John's fondest memories were often made with his cousin Vince by his side. They shared much time together, such as attending WWE events where they were once lucky enough to meet GoldDust who kissed John on the cheek! Whenever Emilio would visit town for a concert performance, John would eagerly join him on stage and sing along with passion. Additionally, watching Texas Longhorn Football games with the Reyes crew became an annual tradition that brought much joy to John's life.

One of John's proudest accomplishments was being chosen as a godfather to three special loved ones- Carmen Ramirez, Joseph Michael Cruz, and Gully Ramirez. He embraced this role with unwavering dedication and love, serving as a guiding light in their lives.

John leaves behind to cherish his memories, his mother Deloris Cruz; brother Joe Cruz and sister-in-law Gina Cruz; brother Ismael Cruz and sister-in-law Angela Cruz; nephew Joseph Michael Cruz; and nieces Gianna Marisol Cruz, Alexis Nicole Correa, Addison Maria Correa, and Izabella Ramzi Cruz.
