1920 ~ 2007

Jane Queen Lee, age 86 of Bryan, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2007 at St. Joseph Regional Health Center.  Jane was born May 27, 1920 in Comanche, Texas to Albert Brown Queen and Exah Cleveland Burks Queen.

In 1947, she moved to Bryan and for forty years, she was a dance instructor and was the owner of Jane Lee School of Dance.  At the close of each dance session, she treated her dancers with a lemon drop!

Jane’s passion was her family.  She also enjoyed knitting and traveling.  She volunteered in the Crestview gift shop, was a faithful member of the Neighborly Sunday School Class at First United Methodist Church of Bryan, The Woman’s Club and was active in water aerobics three times a week.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Dr. Carlton R. Lee and a great grandson Alan Neil Breeding.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Alan & Jan Lee of Bryan, Jeff Lee of Bryan and Loyd & Kathy Kegans of Stephenville; two daughters and son-in-law Suzan Timmins of Bryan and Melody & Roland Smith also of Bryan; ten grandchildren Molly & husband Tripp Lewis, Katy & husband Chanse Stephens, Tom, Laura and Tyler Lyne, Joshua Lee, Canita & husband Donald Breeding, Carlton Lee, Sean & wife Kris Kegans and Bryan Kegans; six great grandchildren Payton, Hallie and Conley Lewis and McKenzie, Hunter and Saylor Kegans and anxiously awaiting the arrival of the seventh great grandchild.

Funeral Services will be held at 11am tomorrow, February 14, 2007 at First United Methodist Church of Bryan with Reverends Matt Idom and Morris House officiating.  Entombment will follow at Restever Memorial Park.  Visitation will be held from 5-8pm this evening at Hillier Funeral Home and from 10-11am tomorrow at the church.
