Jackie “Jack” W. Crowson, 67, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, February 6, 2008.
Jacks funeral will be held on Monday, February 11, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillier Funeral Home.  Interment will immediately follow at Rest Ever Memorial Park in Bryan.  The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, February 10, 2008 at Hillier Funeral Home.

Jack was born on December 6, 1940 in Wesley, Oklahoma to Jack Carlton and Geneva Lois (Glasscock) Crowson.  Jack graduated from Sherman E. Burroughs High School in 1959 in China Lake, California before joining the United States Army in 1961.  Jack met Mary (Juarez) while stationed at Ft. Hood in Belton, Texas and they married on January 25, 1964.  Jack served in the Army for 21 years before retiring to Bryan, Texas.  Jack went to work for Transportation Services at Texas A&M in 1982.  He retired from A&M in January 2004, with 22 years of service.

Jack was a member, in good standing, of the American Legion, Post 159 and a member of the Masonic Order.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Geneva Crowson.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Mary of Bryan, Texas; daughter, Janie (Crowson) Williams and husband Charlie of College Station; son, Jack “Wade” Crowson and wife Tammy of West Columbia, South Carolina; brother, Glenn Crowson and wife Lanna of Bakersfield, California; sister Betty (Crowson) Fowler of  Bakersfield, California; grandsons Blake Williams of College Station, Texas, Justin Crowson, Mason Crowson and Jordan Crowson and granddaughters Krista Keisler and Brianna Crowson all of West Columbia, South Carolina.
He will always be remembered for his giving personality and his “never meet a stranger” attitude.  He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend.  He will be sorely missed by all who know him
