Faye Louise McLaughlin, 83, of Bryan, Texas passed away Saturday April 28, 2007.  Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 2 at First Baptist Church in Bryan with the Rev. Tim Owens officiating.  Interment will be at 12:30 p.m. in Plantersville Cemetery. Visitation was from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 1 at Hillier Funeral Home.

Faye was born February 12, 1924 in Plantersville, Texas to Lester Clark and Willie Faye Cashion.  She graduated Plantersville High School in 1940 then attended Sam Houston State University.  Faye was the administrative assistant to the Chief of Police for 14 years.  She loved to sew, paint and make ceramics.  Faye was the President of the Texas A&M Mother’s Club, President of the Texas A&M Federation Mother’s Club, the President of Local and District PTA, member of Women in Construction, Pink Ladies Auxiliary of St. Joseph Hospital, and Charter Member of the Gold Medallion Club.  She was a member and Sunday school teacher of six year olds at First Baptist Church in Bryan.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents.  She is survived by daughter, Sandra Reina and husband A.C. of Richmond, Texas; son, Lester McLaughlin of Wichita Falls, Texas; grandchildren, Lester McLaughlin, Jr., Cristin McLaughlin, and Jeff Reina.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Patsy Ruth Houston for the devotion and loving care that she provided for Faye over the past 17 years.

Those serving as pallbearers will be Travis Neely, Don Lemon, Neely Nickle, Frank Jentsch, Ralph Girlinghouse, and Jeff Reina.  The honorary pallbearer is Nelson Durst.
