Elsie Lewis

Elsie Lois Lewis, 84, of Bryan, Texas, transitioned to her heavenly body on Wednesday, May 17, 2023.   She was born to Carl and Lois Eckman on November 26, 1938 in Brownsville, Texas. Elsie graduated high school from Ursuline Academy in San Antonio, Texas. She ended her twenty-five year career at Texas A&M in the provost office. 

She was a long time member of Central Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for twelve years and participated in numerous bible studies. Living out The Great Commission was part of her legacy left on this earth.

Elsie is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Lois Eckman.  

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Ronald Lewis; sons, James Boren and his wife Keitrah of Bryan, and Jody Boren and his wife Susan of College Station; daughters, Debra Green and her husband Scott of Keller, Shawntay Hammonds and her husband Mike of Fort Worth, and Cherisse Neal and her husband Chase of Montgomery; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
