Elida Rosales

Elida H. Rosales, 54, of Bryan, passed away Wednesday morning at her home.  Mrs. Rosales was born in Bryan, Texas to Jesus and Guadalupe Hernandez.
Mrs. Rosales enjoyed spending time with her family and had a passion for cooking.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and worked for the Bryan ISD as a child nutrition specialist at Neal Elementary.
Mrs. Rosales was preceded in death by her parents Jesus and Guadalupe Hernandez and two brothers Johnny and Gilbert Hernandez.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Reverend Monsignor John A. McCaffrey officiating. 600 East 26thStreet, Bryan, TX.
Visitation will be held at Hiller Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until: 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2007.
Burial will be at Restever Memorial Park in Bryan.
Survivors include her husband of 21years: Johnny R. Rosales; one daughter: Andrea Fava and husband Julian; step-sons: Christopher Rosales and wife Shelli, Jeromy Rosales, all of Bryan; grandchildren: Jonathan and Marissa Fava; sisters: Otelia Espinoza and husband Victor Jr., Esmeralda Alaniz, Rosa Maria Adams and husband Sam, Ines Garcia, Sentea Jimenez and husband John, Lupe Hernandez, Irene Ortega and husband Nick; brothers: Antonio B. Hernandez, Luis B. Hernandez and wife Dora, Roberto B. Hernandez and wife Irma, Pedro B. Hernandez and wife Terri; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
Mrs. Rosales will always be remembered for her caring personality and how she always put others before herself.  She will be remembered as a person who brought her family together and kept everyone united.  Her family was the center of her life and she was always a joy to be around.  Mrs. Rosales was also an avid fan of football, especially the Texas Aggies and the Dallas Cowboys.
The family would like to thank everyone who helped Mrs. Rosales in her time of need.  The family is requesting that donations be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to HospiceBrazosValley; 502 W. 26thStreet, Bryan, TX77803.
