Earl Porter, Jr.

Earl Boswell Porter, 67, of Bryan, passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2008, after a brief illness.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 29, 2008 at Hillier Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. until Noon.
Graveside services will be held on Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Bryan City Cemetery with Rev. Matt Idom of the First United Methodist Church of Bryan officiating.
Earl was born in Waco, TX, to Ruth and Boswell Porter, and lived his adult life in a group home in Brenham.  For the last year, he resided at Sheridan of Bryan.  Earl was preceded in death by his parents and niece Alisa Hickerson.
Earl leaves behind his brother, Steve Porter and wife Julie; sisters: Nancy Porter Blackwell and husband Bill of Cuero, TX; and Alice Porter Hickerson and husband Dick; nieces and nephews: Tory, Alison, and Nash Porter; Ashley and Matt Winton, Stephanie Blackwell, Courtney and Evan Epstein; Rick Hickerson and Brant and Jae Hickerson.
The family wishes to thank their special caretaker Pauline Darcus of Brenham.  Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
