Douglas Wayne Stallings, 69, of Bryan passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2008, at College Station Medical Center, after a courageous battle with cancer. Services are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, at Hillier Funeral Home with burial following at Wixon Cemetery in Bryan. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, at the funeral home.
Douglas enjoyed his life, family and friends. He worked for Alenco for more than 35 years and was a renowned taxidermist.
He was preceded in death by his parents, H.G. and Frances Stallings.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Jeff Koehn of Denton, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, David and Mary Stallings of Bryan; sister and brother-in-law, Nan deLene and Doug Arndt of New Ulm; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Henry Webb and Barbara Stallings of Austin, Arthur James Stallings of Houston and Alan Fay Stallings of Bryan; granddaughter, Melissa Bond of Bryan; grandson, Mark Roberts of Bryan; two great-granddaughters, Emily and Hannah Bond; and close friend, Nina Ruth Binford.
