Dorothy Patranella

August 30, 1943 — March 12, 2023

Dorothy Patranella, 79 of Bryan, Texas passed away on March 12th at her home with her beloved Charlie and their family by her side.

She was born in Reagan, Tennessee to her loving parents, Brodie and Lurtha Kelly.  One summer while visiting her older sister Elsie in Texas, she met the love of her life, Charlie.  They later married and lived happily for 64 years.

The joy of her life was her family, both in Texas and in Tennessee.  She was a world-class homemaker and spent her days keeping an immaculate home, cooking, sewing, ironing and starching Charlie’s jeans and western shirts, and keeping the family garden. She loved reading her Bible and teaching her kids and grandkids about her Lord. And later in life, loving on her many great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Brodie and Lurtha Kelly; in-laws, Frank and Carrie Patranella, Sr.; sisters, Elsie and Delmar Crenshaw, JoAnn and Jim Walker; and brother, Wayne Kelly; in-laws, Lucy and Charlie Vacante, Laura Salvaggio, Marie Stetz, Bill Williamsen, and Frank Patranella, Jr.

Dorothy is survived by her beloved husband, Charlie; daughters, Cathy Patranella and Judy and Stephen Ondrasek; her grandchildren, Larry and Carrie Phelps, Casi and Jake Conrad, Douglas and Brittany McBride, Jacob and Kimberly Ramsey, Stevie and Stephanie Ondrasek, Ashley Ondrasek, Michael Ondrasek, and Reagan Ondrasek; great grandchildren, Ethan, Caleigh, Baylee, Brooklyn, Kynedi, Alexis, Rylie, Karsen, Kylah, Kinsley, Macey, Mallory, Layton and Austyn; brothers, Jerry and Linda Kelly, Johnny Kelly; sister and brother-in-laws, Mary Patranella, Lena Williamsen, Alvin Stetz, Nick and Josie Patranella, Rosie Quinn, Johnny Patranella, and Josephine and Randy Rachal; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
