Diane Stanek, 63, of Bryan, Texas, passed away on November 5, 2021. She was born on September 27, 1958, in Shiner, Texas, to Edwin and Dorothy Vancura. A visitation will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021, from 5-8pm, at Hillier of Bryan.
Diane loved to travel the world with her loving husband, Doug Stanek. They have experienced many cultures and many memories together. She and Doug traveled to China, South Korea, Ireland, Costa Rica, Singapore, Netherlands, and Japan. Everywhere they went they always found a Hard Rock Café and would buy a pin to bring home.
In her spare time, she loved gardening, flea market shopping, watching old movies with Doug, reading, making stained glass pictures, and making baby blankets. Diane loved going to Canton and finding antiques that she could fix or repurpose. She loved to come up with new ideas of how to repurpose items. She gave the idea to Doug and he would make it happen. Their house is full of the many creations she and Doug spent so much time together creating.
There was no question as to how much she adored her grandchildren. She never hesitated to get on the ground and play with them or jumping in the pool to entertain them. She loved the quality time and memories that she created with them. She always had a big hug and present every time she saw them.
Diane leaves behind to cherish her loving memories to her husband, Doug Stanek of 43 years; her daughter Amanda and husband Trey Vychopen; her son Nathan Stanek; her mother Dorothy Vancura; her sister Kimberly Galia and husband Emery; and her grandchildren Kyle, Ryan, and Logan.
She is reunited with her Dad, Edwin Vancura; her aunts, Gene Boehl and Rose Vancura; and her uncle, Clinton Boehl.
