DeAun (De) Little Estes was born in Bogard, Missouri on July 1, 1932 and died on January 7, 2023 in College Station, Texas.
De was a very creative person who expressed herself as a poet, a seamstress, a quilter, an artist, and a doll-maker. She found great meaning as a member of The Daughters of the King at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, participating in community drama and prayer groups, was a secretary, a medical transcriptionist, and so much more. And…she loved to dance! Most importantly, De was a mother, a wife and a friend whose priority was her love of family. She was proud of her three sons, having encouraged each to discover their own callings in life. She adored her daughter-in-laws, Terrie, Char, and Susan (Ya-Su) and loved her granddaughter Hannah DeAun Estes “to the moon and back”!
She is predeceased by her husband, Andrew F. Estes, and daughter-in-law, Terrie Estes.
She is survived by her sons, Mark Estes and wife, Susan Hagstrom (Oakland, CA.), Keith Estes (Hickory Creek TX.), Dennis Estes and wife Char Estes (Spring, Texas); granddaughter, Hannah DeAun Glinski and husband Reagan Glinski (Waco, TX); grandson, Nicholas Dyson and wife Monica Dyson (Ft. Worth, TX); dear friend Stan Poteet (Bryan, TX.); and many dear friends.
