David James Frederick

David James Frederick, 42, of Bryan, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2023.

David was born in Germany while his dad was deployed in the military, but he started school in Abilene, Texas. He graduated from Abilene Cooper High in 1999 and Midwestern State University in 2003. He moved to Spring, Texas in 2011 and resided there until his death.

A charismatic individual with a great smile and sense of humor, David made many friends! He was the first to volunteer whenever needed; he helped two families in the Houston area when Harvey flooded their home, helped employees at Firestone with home repairs, and worked numerous weekends.

He played soccer from kindergarten through his college years; he was on the team at Midwestern State University when they won two Lone Star Championships. He loved to play softball on a city team. David was employed by Automotive Resources International, but due to Covid, he had been working from home for the past two years.

He had a collection of DVDs that would put Blockbuster to shame. He collected old movies, new movies, horror films, and sports moves; his home office was a movie buff’s dream!

He was preceded in death by his dad, Jacob Frederick; uncles Charles Frederick and John Frederick; grandparents; and his beloved pups, Wolfe and Yaz.

David leaves behind his mom, Anna Frederick; sister, Christine Labertew, brother in law, Les Labertew; niece, Hailey Cunningham and husband Nathan; nephew, Layne Labertew; many friends; and McKensie, his pup, who now resides in Abilene with special friend, Steph DeYoung.
