Daniel H. Harrison Jr., 65, died Thursday, November 24, 2022, at his home on Carter Lake in College Station following a brief illness.
He was born January 13, 1957, to Daniel H. Harrison Sr. and Norma Ann Harrison in Landstuhl, Germany. He was an Air Force child who lived in Turkey, Italy, Baltimore, Maryland and Salina, Kansas, growing up. He graduated from high school in Misawa, Japan, and then attended Texas A&M University. He graduated in 1979, with a B.A. in Psychology, and said he never wanted to move again.
Dan worked for many years in Industrial Distribution in Bryan, Texas.
We lost a humorous, smart, funny and quirky part of our lives. An Eagle Scout, Dan had his private pilot license, and was interested in the weather and sailing. He loved chilling by Carter Lake, where he lived.
He is survived by his wife, Rosalie Nickles; daughters, Sawyer Clontz (Alex) of Asheville, N.C. and Jenna Rockett (Cameron) of Abilene; granddaughter, Kyler of Asheville, N.C.; good friends, Ruth and Bill Watson of College Station; brother, Bradlee Harrison, of Nyssa, Oregon; sister, Liza Harrison, of Twin Falls, Idaho; nieces and nephews; and his beloved Border Collie, Sadie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Texas A&M University general scholarship fund using this link: Give | Texas A&M Foundation (txamfoundation.com). Please select This Gift is in Honor of Someone Special and include Dan’s name when making the gift.
Memorial arrangements are pending.
